A performance piece dramatizing the war poetry of the Jewish Bible. Modern dance, choral music, percussion, and spoken word bring witness to the horrors of war through the eyes of its victims.
I worked with long-time friend and collaborator Claire Calalo (Artistic Director - for change dance collective) to realize the movement for a new multidisciplinary experience grounded in a new interpretation of Lamentations from the Jewish Bible. Conceived by David Pleins, Ph.D., the work brings together the Santa Clara University and Staford University communities in a unique project that is part of SCU's Center for the Arts and Humanities inaugural Salon series (in)humanity.
Both performances were free.
